Office of Compliance and Ethics

Mission

The mission of the Office of Compliance and Ethics (OCE) is:

  1. To encourage and support ethical behavior and a culture of integrity.
  2. To coordinate, monitor and report on the networks and activities that comprise the Institutional Compliance and Ethics Program and to assist the University’s senior management, compliance area stakeholders and others in identifying, understanding, and meeting the University’s compliance obligations.
  3. To provide safe and effective mechanisms for raising questions and making reports about compliance issues or problems and to work with other offices to ensure that problems are resolved appropriately.
  4. To provide advice and counsel to the Georgetown University community on compliance and ethical issues.

In discharging this mission, the Office of Compliance and Ethics strives to be knowledgeable, responsive, empathetic, cooperative and collegial.
